Scope & Purpose

We seek a hands-on and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to support our Warehouse Manager and oversee day-to-day operations at our Bletchley site.

This role is integral to ensuring stock is received, handled, stored, and dispatched accurately, efficiently, and safely. You’ll take the lead in supervising warehouse staff, driving performance, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.

You will be expected to act as a subject matter expert in warehouse systems and best practices, leading by example and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all goods are dispatched on time, in full, and in line with customer requirements.
  • Organise and coordinate warehouse layout to maximise space and improve workflow.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables, packaging, and parts; raise replenishment orders as required.
  • Ensure all incoming goods are thoroughly checked, booked in, stored appropriately, and reflected accurately in systems.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and investigations into discrepancies.
  • Manage goods returns and oversee reverse logistics processes.
  • Supervise and support a team of warehouse operatives, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members, ensuring adherence to procedures and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Uphold Health & Safety, fire safety, and manual handling standards across the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.
  • Act as a first point of contact for operational issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Projects, Purchasing, and Logistics) to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of warehouse staff.
  • Monitor and report on departmental KPIs and service levels.
  • Assist in the implementation of new warehouse technologies or process improvements.
  • Ensure all documentation, records, and system updates are completed accurately and on time.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of general warehouse operations, including inventory management, space optimisation, and stock rotation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident in leading and motivating teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Practical problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems, particularly Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
