About the Role

You’ll travel daily to customer sites across the Hospitality & Retail sectors to replace, swap, or repair IT devices. The role includes regular travel, occasional overnight stays, and a 5-day schedule across 7 days, including alternate weekends. Shifts typically run between 08:30–17:30 but may vary from 06:00–21:00 depending on the client. *Overtime, Company Car & Fuel Card Provided*

What You’ll Do:

  • Installation: You’ll install, refurbish, and maintain IT equipment, including tills, Chip & PIN devices, tablets, digital signage, media screens, kitchen systems, Wi-Fi, and structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6 & Fibre).
  • Site Services: Carry out swap-outs, repairs, and support work, ensuring all processes, paperwork, and customer requirements are followed accurately.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients to understand needs, explain technical issues, and follow escalation protocols when required.
  • Cabling & Termination: Install and terminate network cabling on patch panels and modules as needed.
  • Site Work: Conduct surveys, audits, and research to support installations and project delivery.
  • Team Support: Assist colleagues both in the field and at HQ, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health & safety policies and on-site procedures throughout each task.

What You’ll Bring

  • IT Expertise: Experience with EPoS installations, ideally in Retail or Hospitality. Familiar with Cat5e/Cat6 data cabling and IT equipment configuration.
  • Technical Skills: Confident in using and setting up IT systems; computer literate with strong documentation accuracy.
  • Mindset: Proactive, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure. Takes ownership and gets the job done.
  • Communication: Works well with engineers and clients; clear and professional at all times.
  • Organisation: Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Travel Willingness: Holds a full UK license and is willing to travel, including overnight stays.
