Scope & Purpose

To lead the IT department engaging with stakeholders to plan the development and implementation and support of IT systems.

 

Main Accountabilities

 

  • Understand the code being written and be able to guide to development team.
  • Mentoring of the IT Support and Systems delivery teams.
  • Oversee support activities and cover staff absences as required.
  • Document System requirements.
  • Create Business case for each system.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
  • Research Possible solutions in conjunction with the Head of IT
  • Present possible solutions to Major stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Collaborate with Development and IT teams to ensure proper integration of the environment.
  • Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • 3 years Minimum Experience in project managing and delivering internal systems.
  • Prince 2 and / or Agile Foundation
