Flipping the Switch: Celestra Lights Up Ronald McDonald House Charity This Christmas!

This year, we continued our long-standing tradition of supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) UK, an organisation close to our hearts. For many years, we’ve proudly contributed to their mission of keeping families together during some of their most challenging times.

In 2024, our efforts included fundraising through events, volunteer days, and even taking on physical challenges. One highlight was a team effort to climb Mount Snowdon, raising both awareness and vital funds to support RMHC’s 14 Houses across the UK. These Houses provide free accommodation close to hospitals, allowing families to stay connected with their children and support them during difficult times.

We also brought festive cheer to families this Christmas at RMHC Oxford House by installing holiday lights, complete with a charming Snow-Family, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for families staying there during the holidays. It’s our way of giving back to a charity that impacts countless lives each year.

A particularly proud moment for us this year was the recognition of our longstanding commitment where we received a room adoption. This is an award in recognition of raising enough to look after the running costs of that bedroom for a year. This honour reflects the dedication and collective efforts of our team over the years and rounds of 2024 year in a very positive way.

Reflecting on this milestone, our Directors, John and Simon, said:

“We are deeply honoured to have received an adopted room at Oxford Ronald McDonald House – A humbling recognition of the dedication and collective effort of our incredible team over the years. Every fundraiser, volunteer day, Christmas decorating day and challenge completed (including climbing Mount Snowdon!) has played a part in reaching this significant milestone.

Supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities holds a special place in Celestra’s heart, knowing that the funds we’ve raised help keep families close to their children during their most challenging times.

This recognition is a testament to the power of teamwork and compassion. It reminds us of the meaningful impact we can make together and motivates us to keep championing this vital cause.”

We are deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together with RMHC UK Oxford House and look forward to continuing our support for many years to come. To learn more about this organisation’s incredible work, visit RMHC UK’s website or if you would like to help support in any way
