The Role

The Warehouse Operative will work to ensure accuracy and time efficiency when picking, dispatching, inventory checking or processing incoming/ outgoing orders. The suitable candidate will work with the Warehouse team to promote health & safety standards, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of stock. The Warehouse Operative will deliver high-quality service to all customers.

Duties will include but not be limited to

  • Undertaking receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with Company goods in process, ensuring the product is correctly located within the Warehouse.
  • Picking customer orders (including product identification and pallet build) as per Company processes, undertaking all necessary controls and making available for Dispatch
  • Dispatching outgoing orders in line with Company processes
  • Assisting with regular and spot stock takes, as required.
  • Undertaking Forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and Company Warehouse Guidelines observed
  • Ensuring all stock is stored, handled, and transported securely and in line with Company procedures and H&S guidelines
  • Working with team members to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and always complying with Company and legislative standards.
  • Ensuring all packaging is disposed of safely and in line with Company processes, recycling where possible.
  • Building a reputable profile creating a good impression of Celestra, and adhering to Company rules and standards, including when working or travelling off-site.
  • Any ad-hoc duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Proven experience working in a Logistics/ Warehouse environment, within Pick, Inventory, Goods In and/or Dispatch departments.
  • High attention to detail
  • IT literate, with proven experience in using WMS and Microsoft Excel
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Understanding and committing to safe working practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressurised environment.
  • Ability to work on my own initiative and be a team player.
