Looking Back On 2014

As the end of the year approaches, we are reflecting on what has been an exciting time for Celestra. From working with new clients to proudly serving our longstanding customers, 2014 has been very busy!

Star solutions can only be achieved through excellent service delivered by caring, knowledgeable and experienced people. The team really are Celestra’s greatest asset and this year we have significantly grown. There are now over 65 professionals in Head Office and this is in addition to our national network of highly skilled Engineers, Cablers and Shop fitters. Whether it’s for our clients, each other or the community, we really put our hearts into everything we do. A great example of this is our success at fundraising! Celestra raised over £4,000 for Little Lives, Children In Need and Breast Cancer in 2014. From racing in Dragon Boats to dressing up and playing games, we have really enjoyed supporting these worthy causes.


Providing comprehensive solutions means seeing the job through from beginning to end with a complete range of services. This year we have visited over 3,500 sites across the UK! This included completing three major projects for McDonald’s. Celestra implemented interactive technology, installed side-by-side Drive Thru’s and upgraded all chip & PIN devices and Drive Thru headsets.

We’ve also managed and implemented all IT services for new Premier Inn and Costa Coffee acquisitions. This required Celestra to provide project management, high quality data and power cabling and EPoS installation. As a result there are now a further 94 Costa Coffee locations and over 2,200 additional Premier Inn rooms available across the country.

We’ve continued to work closely with our customers to understand their unique specifications, customising solutions to meet their individual needs. This was proven on Costa Coffee’s Electronic Admin Device (EAD) project. Our Configuration experts created a bespoke solution which reduced the build time of each device down from 4 hours to 1 hour. The team also managed to identify an issue, provide a solution and rapidly reconfigure all devices to ensure the project was not delayed.

Our craftsmanship is the industry’s finest! Our commitment to working to the highest professional standard ensures we develop, sustain and expand our client base. We were delighted to welcome on board Inchcape, a leading Automotive Retailer and services company. Celestra successfully won this contract by demonstrating how we could deliver in accordance to the quality and standards associated with Inchcape’s brands whilst adding real value by offering innovative ideas. Celestra provided data cabling to a new state-of-the-art Audi site in Tunbridge Wells. This required the termination of 325 data points and over 16 miles of combined CAT5e and CAT6 cable to be laid. We are now providing further services to Inchcape’s brands including Mercedes-Benz, Mini and Volkswagen.


We are known for our can-do attitude. Our relentless approach guarantees we deliver what our clients require. Key project milestones have been achieved on a number of accounts this year, including the Mitchells & Butlers project which began in 2013. The Mitchells & Butlers upgrade project required the deployment of new EPoS, Mobile Ordering and Kitchen Management Systems at over 1,600 sites throughout the UK. We have completed over 1,000 sites this year! Heading into 2015 we only have 120 sites remaining.

Whilst a lot of new and exciting things have happened, one thing which has remained the same is our dedication to serve star quality IT solutions.
